Cervical Cancer – Causes and Treatment

Cervical cancer is a malignant cancer of the cervix. Cervical cancer is cancer that starts in the cervix, the lower part of the uterus that opens at the top. The upper part, or body, of the uterus, is where a fetus grows. The cervix connects the body of the uterus to the. The part of the cervix closest to the body of the uterus is called the endocervix. Cancer of the cervix begins in the lining of the cervix.

Cervical cancer is a common cancer among women. There has been a link established between the incidence of this disease and the presence of the human papillomavirus (HPV). Today, young women are encouraged to take a vaccine for HPV in an attempt to reduce the risk of contracting cervical cancer later in life.

Between the yin and the yang, between the dark and the light, between normal and abnormal, there are infinite shades and numberless ways of being. Without lines, they arise and change, drift away or settle in, some promoting your well-being, some eroding it. An erosive change is almost upon us daughter. How will we meet it?

Long term use of birth control pills: Use of birth control pills for more than 4 years may increase the risk of cervical cancer among women with HPV infection.

Smoking: Women smokers are more than 10 times likely to get cervical cancer than women who do not smoke

The beginning of cervical cancer begins with changes in the squamocolumnar junction of the cervix where the flat squamous epithelium of the exocervix meets the columnar epithelium of the endocervix. The proportion of the cell nucleus to the cell size is increased in the epithelium in the pre-cancer phase of the illness.

However, in advanced stages of cervical cancer, surgery is usually the only alternative. Depending on how far the cancer has spread, treatment may require partial removal of the cervix and uterus, known as partial hysterectomy. This spare the ovaries and other parts of the female genitalia.

The type of surgery to be conducted depends upon the intensity of the disease. if the disease has developed to a diabetic patient then it must be dealt carefully. He must make him adopted to the physical condition before conducting surgery on him.

If not much damage has been done, then doctors focus on removing that area where the abnormal cell growth has occurred. This can be done through a number of latest scientific ways such as laser surgery, loop electrosurgical excision procedure, cone biopsy, and cryosurgery.

Treatment of cervical cancer is determined by the clinical findings, stage of disease, overall condition of the patient, and whether she wishes to preserve the reproductive mechanism. The treatment of preinvasive lesions can consist of cryotherapy, electrocautery, laser therapy, or conization. For the first level of cervical cancer stages, carcinoma can be conservatively managed by cervical conization, vaginal radiation therapy, and laser treatment.

You can contact me on celestialambience@yahoo.co.uk. Much appreciated.

  3. Cervical cancer is a very common condition in women, but it is far less in the Jewish and Muslim community, due to men being circumsized.

  17. Cervical Cancer is so easy to find and treat. There is a stigma associated with it.

It isn’t something “easy” girls get. It is common, easy to catch early and very treatable. Like so many other health problems, if it is found early, it is routine.

Get the woman you love teste if it means taking a day off work and driving her there yourself!
